King Rest Area

Large sealed rest area 46km south-east of Katherine on the Stuart Highway, listed by the NT Government as permitting 24-hour overnight camping. It has toilets, tank water (treat before drinking), BBQs, sheltered picnic tables, bins and a dump point, with shady bush all around and plenty of room for big rigs. A practical free overnighter between Katherine and Mataranka.
