Barradale Rest Area (Yannarie River)

Big official Main Roads WA 24-hour rest area on the usually dry Yannarie River bed, roughly halfway between Carnarvon and the Exmouth turnoff. Toilets, accessible facilities, shelters, picnic tables and an effluent dump point make it one of the best-equipped free stops on the Coral Coast run. Free overnight stay, 24 hours maximum; a popular staging point for Ningaloo, so expect company in winter.
