From the ad

Employer requires 50 seasonal horticultural labourers from October 2026 on a number of fruit, vegetable and nut plantations in the Regional District of South Australia. Areas may be between Ceduna to Port Augusta, Port Pirie and Adelaide, Pinnaroo and Mt Gambier.

The work is outdoors and involves harvesting, pruning, thinning, packing and general crop management, and will be available for up to 9 months. Workers must be available for the whole 9 months. Due to the high physical demands of these positions, workers will need to be physically fit, self-motivated and work flexible hours as start times vary depending on weather.

It is preferred but not essential that applicants have experience in: citrus, almond and stonefruit picking, pruning, thinning, packing and general crop management.

Hours of work will vary according to harvest requirements and the weather. Usually a minimum of 30 hours per week. Wages will be paid at both the hourly award or the standard piece rate based on the Horticultural Award 2010 rates and work will be over 5-7 days per week, depending on the tasks.

Accommodation and transport may be provided at cost. Applications close on 15th October.

Is this 88-day work?

The poster tagged this as 88-day work. That is their claim, not a Home Affairs decision.

Postcode 5000 (Adelaide) is on the regional list, so farm work here can count.

That's the main postcode for the town: nearby localities can differ, so confirm the farm's exact postcode.

It also has to be paid at award rates, with payslips. This is a quick guide, not the official list.

Likely 88-day eligible (industry and postcode per Home Affairs, as at 25 Sept 2026). Always confirm with Home Affairs. Official specified work page
