Job Advertisement: Shed Hand
Position: Shed Hand
Employment Type: Full-time (3-years contract).
About Us: Pickers & Pruners Labour Hire is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Shed Hand to join our team, located in the Riverlands, South Australia.
The Role: As a Shed Hand, you will be working in a fast-paced packing shed environment, where teamwork and a strong work ethic are essential. You must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions and be physically capable of handling the demands of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Palletizing cartons, trays, and crates
- Ensuring cartons are labelled correctly
- Erecting pallets
- Strapping cartons to pallets
- Retrieval/replacement of selected cartons for quality inspections
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- General cleaning duties as required
Secondary Duties:
- Packing oranges/bags into cartons
- Sorting (hopper)
- Leveling fruit at juice bin off station
Requirements:
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Motivated and reliable
- Ability to withstand tough working conditions
- Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting, standing, and moving throughout the day
